GLOBAL CHILD WELFARE is a non-governmental, non-political and social non-profit organization founded in 1997 by Sabine Molemans and Marc Forceville.
The main goal of the organisation is to improve the quality of life of the lower caste families in Nepal, especially those of the children.
Many people still live below the poverty line and are disadvantaged both socially and economically. The social system in Nepal also ensures that families from this caste are suppressed.
Poverty causes little or no ownership and illiteracy is more regular than exception.
Through better education of children, by setting up small projects that mainly support women (after all, they have to take care of the children) and by supporting older people, GCW tries to improve the standard of living so that these people get a chance to get better dignified life.
